Emailing clients from Compass
Write a one-off email to a client, use saved templates, and control how your signature appears.
You can email a client straight from their enquiry. Replies come back to you, and the message is logged against the lead so the history stays in one place.
The composer
Open a lead and choose "Email this client". The editor handles formatting (bold, italic, underline, alignment, text colour, links, lists) and lets you drop in an inline image or GIF. All formatting is written so it survives in the recipient's inbox.
Templates
Save emails you send often in Settings → Email and reuse them. Templates support merge fields (client name, event date, links) that fill in when you send.
Your signature
Set your signature once in Settings → Email. The composer shows a live preview of it under the message so you can see exactly what the client will get. You can:
- Turn the signature off for a particular template or send.
- Use the
{{signature}}placement token to put it somewhere other than the bottom. - Edit it just for one send without changing your saved signature.
