Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of Compass at getcompass.studio. By creating an account you're agreeing to them. If you're using Compass on behalf of a company, you're agreeing on its behalf.
1. The service
Compass is a set of business tools for creative professionals: a CRM for tracking leads, a pricing calculator (Waypoint), and an annual revenue planner (Roadmap). We're actively developing it; features may change, get added, or be removed. We'll do our best to give notice for anything user-visible.
2. Your account
- You need to be at least 16 to sign up.
- Your password is yours to protect. Tell us immediately if you suspect it's been compromised.
- You're responsible for the data you put into Compass and for making sure you have the right to process it (e.g. a lawful basis under GDPR if you store EU contacts).
- One human, one account. Sharing accounts is not allowed; team plans (when available) are how multiple people use one workspace.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to bypass row-level security.
- Send unsolicited bulk email or spam through Compass.
- Use Compass to store anything illegal in your jurisdiction.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the system without prior written consent.
- Resell access, white-label the product (unless you're on a Fleet plan with the white-label feature explicitly enabled), or scrape data programmatically without API access.
4. Pricing & payment
The Pilot tier is free. Captain ($19/mo) and Fleet ($49/mo) are paid monthly via Stripe. You can cancel any time; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month and we don't pro-rate refunds for partial months unless local law requires us to.
Free trials, when offered, convert to a paid plan at the end of the trial unless you cancel. We'll email a reminder before that happens.
5. Your content
You own everything you put into your workspace. We have a limited license to store and process it so we can run the service. We don't train AI models on your data, and we don't share it with advertisers.
You can export your data at any time from Settings → Account, and you can delete your account (and everything in it) from the same page.
6. Service availability
Compass is hosted on Vercel and uses Supabase as its database. We aim for high availability but we don't offer a contractual SLA at this stage. Planned maintenance is rare; if it's required we'll post on /help ahead of time.
7. Termination
You can stop using Compass any time, with or without reason. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these terms; if we do we'll explain why and give you a chance to export your data.
8. Liability
To the extent allowed by law, our total liability under these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages (lost revenue, lost bookings, missed opportunities).
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that can't be limited under your local law (e.g. statutory consumer guarantees in Australia).
9. Disputes & governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. We'll try in good faith to resolve any dispute by talking it through first; if that fails, the courts of NSW have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
10. Changes
We may update these terms occasionally. If the changes affect your rights or our obligations meaningfully, we'll email you at least 14 days in advance.
