Capture Facebook / Instagram Lead Ads
Two paths: a free Zapier connection (recommended) or a direct Meta integration when volume justifies it.
Meta's Lead Ads (Facebook + Instagram) capture leads inside their app. Getting them into Compass takes one of two paths.
Path 1: Zapier (recommended)
Free for up to 100 tasks/month on Zapier's free tier, plenty for most independent creatives.
- In Zapier, create a new Zap. Trigger: "Facebook Lead Ads → New Lead". Connect your Facebook page and pick the Lead form.
- Action: "Webhooks by Zapier → POST". Configure as described in the Zapier guide.
- Map Meta's fields to Compass's:
full_name→name,email→email,phone_number→phone. You can also include the campaign name innotesto track which ad each lead came from. - Set
sourceto"facebook"or"instagram"so the lead routes to the correct stage on import.
Path 2: Direct Meta integration
We can build a dedicated Meta Lead Ads webhook that registers with the Meta Graph API directly. This skips Zapier (faster, no per-month task cap) but requires:
- A Meta Developer App registered for your business
- App review by Meta (typically 2–4 weeks)
- Page subscriptions managed by an admin of your Page

What gets captured
Whatever fields are on your Lead form. Meta's standard fields (full name, email, phone) map cleanly. Custom questions you've added to the form land in the activity log so you can read them in context.
