When verification or reset emails don't arrive
Check spam, then your verified-domain settings, then your provider's logs.
Compass sends transactional email (signup confirmation, password reset, change-email verification) through Resend via Supabase Auth. Most missing-email reports are spam-folder or rate-limit issues.
If you signed up and didn't get the verify email
- Check spam. Verification emails often land there first because the from-domain is unfamiliar to your inbox provider.
- Resend from the banner. Click the Resend link in the verification banner at the top of any signed-in page. Compass fires off a fresh email.
- Check the address you entered. Click Wrong email? in the same banner; the email will be visible inline so you can spot a typo and update it.
If you used Forgot Password and the reset link didn't arrive
- Wait two minutes, sometimes the queue is slow under load.
- Check spam.
- Try Forgot password again. Each attempt sends a fresh link.
- If three attempts still don't arrive, your inbox provider is likely blocking the sender. Email hello@getcompass.studio from a different account and we'll reset your password manually.
Why some inboxes block these emails
Verification and reset emails come from a sending domain configured at the Supabase project. If that domain doesn't have full DKIM + SPF DNS records, strict inbox providers (Outlook, corporate Exchange) drop the message silently. Gmail is more forgiving.
Reaching us when locked out
If you can't get into your account at all, email hello@getcompass.studio from any address you can reach, we don't need it to match your Compass account, we just need enough info (workspace name, approximate signup date) to identify you.
