The Files library
Upload a file once and reuse it everywhere. Versions keep what you already shared exactly as it was.
The Files library (Settings, Files) holds the documents you send often: a pricing guide, a brochure, a prep checklist. Upload each one once and reuse it, instead of hunting for the same PDF every time.
Versions protect what you already sent
When a document changes, upload a new version on the same file. New shares use the new version automatically, while anything you already shared keeps the exact version it got. Your old pricing guide never silently changes in someone's inbox.
Private by default
Files are stored privately. Nothing is publicly reachable; you download through your account, and client sharing (in emails and portals) is coming next with its own controlled links.
Deleting
Deleting a file moves it to Settings, Trash for 30 days like everything else in Compass, so a slip is always recoverable.
