Invoices and getting paid

Turn an accepted quote into an invoice, share it, and track what has been paid.

An invoice is the bill you send for a job. It carries the payment schedule from the quote, so the deposit and balance the client agreed to are what they are billed.

Creating an invoice

Raise an invoice from an accepted quote or from scratch. It moves through draft → sent → paid. Find them all in Money, filtered by status.

How clients pay

Today Compass shares your bank-transfer details on the invoice and you mark it paid when the money lands. (Online card payment inside Compass is on the roadmap, not live yet, so the help here reflects bank transfer for now.)

Tracking what is owed

The Money page totals what is outstanding versus collected, and the dashboard surfaces invoices that have had no response so you know who to nudge.

Export for your accountant

In Settings, Invoicing you can download your invoices as a CSV spreadsheet: pick a date range (it starts on your current financial year), choose whether drafts are included, and click Download. Each invoice line gets its own row with quantity, price, tax and totals, so a bookkeeper or any accounting tool can take it as-is. Invoices in the Trash stay out of the file. A direct connection to accounting software is on the roadmap; the CSV works with all of them today.
